First thing's first: Welcome to the CB blog!
We are very excited to really get this page up and running with an incredible variety of knowledge to share with you.
At CB, we live and breathe specialty coffee and with our passion growing so hard and fast, we continue to discover so many interesting things about the crazy world of coffee. We are so very lucky to share this passion and industry with some incredible people and we absolutely love to expand our knowledge and we love sharing it just as much.
So the purpose of these blogs is very simple. Our focus will be on the home brewers, on the the customers, on the greenies just starting coffee and hospitality. We want to share everything with you so you too can fall in love with what is known to bring people together both in a community and across the world.
So welcome.
(P.S. This is all about sharing, so please let us know if there is something you’d like to read about or read more about or even if you just want to share your comments and experiences. We love hearing from you!)
601 Panama Gesha
The world's most expensive coffee - a Panama Gesha that was sold at a whopping USD601 per pound! And we have some of it. But there's no point in having such incredible coffee if you can't share it.
Want to taste and experience the world's most expensive coffee?
We want to let you experience this coffee in the best way we know how. We will be taking groups of 3 per 15 minute sitting and talking through what makes this coffee so special as well as provide facts about the coffee. We will present to you 3 different coffees brewed as pour overs; one of which will be this Gesha. We will discuss what each coffee presents to us and what makes it so special. We will compare how it tastes, smells, feels and is experienced. This way, we can truly understand what makes this Gesha so expensive, exclusive and incredible.
Each ticket comes with exclusive access to taste these coffees and discuss it with brewing and tasting professionals - including this year's NSW brewing champion, Chanho. Tickets also come with a complimentary Coffee Encounters book, with a limited edition Coffee Brothers logo printed on the cover.
Be aware that due to our schedule we cannot wait for latecomers. Ensure you arrive with time to spare. 3 hour parking is available under-cover across the road in Pittwater Place. Please select the time session you wish to attend.

Welcome to our new packaging!
We have been so happy with our beans that we decided to give them some proper packaging! Spruz them up a bit and make them look pretty, like they deserve. We welcome our new colours, and, no less importantly, we welcome the new name of our Seasonal Blend: Cyclone Blend!
Cyclone Blend is the new name for our house milk based coffee. We thought it deserved its own identifier, and after the cyclone Pam ripped itself through our beloved Tanna Island, we chose to use that as inspiration for our blend name. That cyclone affected us, just like our house coffee blend has affected us (in different ways of course!) so we put the two together. It also acts as a subtle reminder of the efforts and hardship coffee can sometimes go through, and how we do not take it for granted when it sits so proudly on our shelves.
We're excited for these blue bags to take control of our shelves, and we hope you enjoy them too!!
